B Smith is a better impact player than Stimson so would make more sense to have him on our bench given we have two second rowers who play big minutes.

Smith is a much better option off the bench. I cannot remember a single game where he has come on and not lifted the team both in attack out of DH and in defence. Needs more minutes.

Easts slip up against Dolphins

Another slow start once again proved costly for Easts Tigers on the weekend.

The Tigers fell behind by 10 points inside the first six minutes and was a deficit they could not recover from, eventually falling to Redcliffe 32-16

Former Storm player Tony Tumusa scored a hat-trick in the game.

Brandon Smith started the match at hooker however suffered a corked thigh and did not play the full 80 minutes.

“We went back to our bad habits of having a poor start again. They scored two tries in the first 10 minutes so we were behind the eight-ball from there,” Easts coach Scott Sipple said.

“It was disappointing to go from last week’s performance to this week’s. We were just too inconsistent.”

Easts will travel to Barlow Park next Saturday to face the Northern Pride.

don't think he will be playing nrl this week

You can never tell with corks, sometimes they play the next week.

If Brandon is fit enough, I'd be very very surprised if we didn't play him in this game. The Knights are likely to have both Danny Levi and Jamie Buhrer on the bench.

We might benefit from the JAC vs SKD matchup. He made a few bad decisions against the Broncos last weekend.

The Knights are probably thinking the same thing...

Another one of many reasons why we haven't started the season flash is both wingers haven't been good.

They haven't had the service. So that is a bit harsh.

How many "bomb" kicks have we done to one of the wingers - one out with their opponent?

This has been a huge failing in our tactics or is because we lack the skills.

I would say that is not the reason why they've struggled to begin the season but continue to be you I guess.

How many tries did we score from bomb kicks to the wingers last year. Plus it keeps the opposition centre honest as he has to be on the back foot on the 5th and 6th tackle just incase we kick it high so it gives the No 7 a split second longer to execute.

We simply haven't got the ball in the hands of our wingers enough close to the try line this year.

Errors with our back three have been horrible. Communication and confidence somehow shot after just winning a GF together...

The time the half has in unrelated. He will be pressured by markers/defenders no matter what. How often he kicks, or who to is irrelevant.
