Storm Sponsors/Partners

Postby yourhero » Thu Mar 15, 2018 9:45 am

I occasionally ponder the status of some of our sponsors/partners (contract end dates, etc). Figured I would start a thread to track that. Three recent partnerships listed on the Storm website:
- Fuso and Comwire
- Starlight
- Brick Lane Brewing Co

Melbourne Storm are delighted to announce that Fuso have extended their partnership with the Club while also welcoming Comwire to the Storm family.

Fuso has signed on for a further four years and will continue on as the official truck partner of Melbourne Storm.

After first partnering with the Club in 2015, the automotive manufacturer will upgrade their partnership to now appear on the upper back of the Melbourne Storm jersey until at least the end of the 2021 season.

Fuso Director Justin Whitford said the company was proud to continue their Storm association.

“We are very excited to have extended our partnership with the Melbourne Storm for a further two years.

“The Storm are a special organisation that deliver in every key area of partnership, from on field success through to off field partnership and engagement. We look forward to continuing our commitment.”

Storm fans will also see a different view when the camera pans up to Craig Bellamy’s coaches box this season.

Comwire has partnered with the football department to have their logo emblazoned on the back of the coaches’ laptops for the next three seasons.

The complete IT and communications business prides itself on optimum performance which perfectly aligns with the focus of Craig Bellamy and his team.

“Comwire is very excited to be joining the Melbourne Storm as their Official IT Partner,” the company’s CEO Mark Frahn said.

“We like to partner with likeminded organisations and the professionalism and success of the Melbourne Storm is something we feel will contribute well with the value we can bring to the team as part of this long-term partnership.”

Melbourne Storm CEO Dave Donaghy expressed the Club’s pleasure in having two quality partners sign on in time for the 2018 NRL season.

“We have no doubt the extension of Fuso and the welcoming of Comwire, perfectly aligns with our commitment to building strong and sustainable partnerships.

“For the last three years Fuso has provided Storm with outstanding support and we look forward to continuing to work closely with them for the next four years.

“In the competitive environment of elite sport you are always looking to stay ahead of the pack and evolve. The technology space is no different, making for a great synergy between Storm and new partner Comwire."

Melbourne Storm is extremely proud to announce the Starlight Children’s Foundation will continue as the Club’s major charity partner for the second consecutive year.

The partnership will evolve after Starlight’s successful first season last year as part of the Storm family.

Storm are delighted to work closely with Starlight who are dedicated to brightening the lives of seriously ill children, adolescents and their families through a range of programs, including wish granting and a Starlight Express Rooms in every major children’s hospital in Australia.

While Storm players can make fans happy on the field, there is a significant motivation from the group to make a real difference off the field. This partnership with Starlight provides the ideal platform to do that.

Starlight kids Joel, Harry and Sammi visited the team on Tuesday and were introduced to the entire squad before training.

That experience will be one of many the Club will be looking to provide as part of the continued partnership.

Storm players will be making appearances in the Starlight Express Room throughout the season.

The Club will also be holding a dedicated Starlight game in 2018 when they play the Canberra Raiders on July 28.

“At Melbourne Storm we understand our role is bigger than just playing football games,” Storm CEO Dave Donaghy said.

“It is about making a real difference in people’s lives and when we have the opportunity to do that off the field we will be there.

“We are proud to continue our partnership with the Starlight Children’s Foundation and look forward to welcoming Starlight kids big and small into our Storm family.”

Starlight State Partnerships Manager of Victoria Lee White expressed the foundation’s excitement about continuing as part of the Storm family.

“Starlight are delighted to be entering the second year of our partnership with Melbourne Storm.

“We are proud to have Billy Slater as a Starlight Ambassador and excited to be celebrating his iconic 300th game in our 30th year. Like Storm we are home grown and we are Australia’s broadest reaching children’s charity.”

“Last year with the support of partners like Melbourne Storm and their community we were able to create over 522,000 Starlight experiences and we look forward to creating more positive experiences together in 2018.”

“We look forward to launching the partnership and see it continue to grow for the next three years and hopefully beyond.”

The launch of the partnership with Brick Lane Brewing Co. coincides with Billy Slater’s 300th NRL game for Melbourne Storm. This significant milestone in Billy’s career will be celebrated by creating a special edition #Billy300 beer which will appear in the dressing rooms after Saturday night’s game against the Wests Tigers.

In an added link with the Melbourne Storm, Billy is also one of the founders of Brick Lane.

The Melbourne Storm’s values of respect and passion for their sporting community and their fans are aligned with those of Brick Lane Brewing Co and we are proud to be part of the Storm family”.

“This partnership is an exciting and long-term relationship for Brick Lane Brewing Co. We are also thrilled that Billy Slater as a founder of Brick Lane Brewing will be celebrating his 300th NRL game for Storm on the same week that this partnership has been announced.”
