In his first game for the Storm, Albert looked really good. He was then ( surprisingly to me ) dropped, and others favoured. Today he was man of the match. Surely he has gone past Sam.

There probably still will not be a spot for him next week, with NAS back, but he must be next cab off the rank, and the likely replacement for Tim Glasby next season.

Tigers off to the big dance

Easts Tigers booked their place in the Intrust Super Cup Grand Final with a 36-26 win over the Burleigh Bears on Saturday.

Trailing by six points at the break, the Tigers scored five of eight tries in the second half to advance for a shot at the Premiership.

Patrick Kaufusi scored the first try of the game and it was 18-year-old Tino Fa'asuamaleaui who kick started the surge after the restart when he crossed the line in the 43rd minute.

Marion Seve put in yet another dominant performance, running for a game-high 225 metres. It is the third consecutive game the mid-season Storm recruit has run for over 150 metres.

"Marion again ran for over 200 metres and got our sets off to a good start," Easts coach Scott Sipple said.

"It was a really good team performance."

The Tigers will now face Redcliffe Dolphins in the Grand Final on Sunday.

"Last time we played them we were pretty poor with our completions," Sipple said.

"We will look to get off to a good start by completing our first few sets. Hopefully that puts pressure on them and we can see what happens from there."

Storm fans can watch the Grand Final LIVE via the live stream on QRL.com.au this Sunday from 3pm.

EASTS TIGERS 36 (Patrick Kaufusi, Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, Jake Foster, Linc Port, Chris Ostwald, Conor Carey tries; Brayden Torpy 6 goals) def BURLEIGH BEARS 26 (Dylan Phythian, Luke Page, Kurtis Rowe, Joshua Berkers, Jai Whitbread tries; Jamal Fogarty 2, Matt White goals) at Pizzey Park.

I went to training the other day and spoke to Scott Albert and Billy Walters about the final...they are excited

I’d forgotten Scott was in last years final as a falcon until he said he hope he could win it unlike last year

We had a great chat and Scott said I could have his GF easts tigers shorts and socks which I’m extremely happy about lol

I talked to Billy about playing and he said he was happy to be back in time just before the final he was happy to not get suspended for the lifting tackle and when frank told him he got 90 point he immediately told him to put in they early guilty plea so he could relax and play.

The boys won’t be at the game on Friday night cause they are leaving today so they can train with the boys up in qld
Billy said 8 of them were going but Patrick was on light duties so they weren’t sure he would play just yet after 2 HIAS in 2. Weeks

Anyway I’m excited and I’m hoping it will be live on the Qcup website like last year

Scott Drinkwater's kickoffs causing all sorts of problems for Redcliffe. After 20 minutes Tigers and Redcliffe 6-all. Conor Carey scored the try for Tigers and Brayden Torpy converted from sideline.

Sam Kasiano not covering himself in glory at the moment. Needless offload on about second tackle while attacking line for a turnover and then penalty for high tackle. Been on for about three or four minutes.

Ex-Storm player Jeremy Hawkins scores from a bomb to give Redcliffe a 12-6 lead after conversion.

Great try by Marion Seve just before half time. Dolphins scored first try of second half. Dolphins led 20 - 10. Dolphins try eventuated after Kasiano lost the ball.

A good run by Kasiano but then stuffed it up with stupid offload. Dolphins 26 - 10 up.

How many years has Kasiano signed with the Storm?
