Re: Rep Teams 2018

I’m so excited about Tino ...he is so good He looked fabulous. Amazing he is still only 18. Might be a real chance to play first grade next year. Brandon was wonderful in the main game. Next season we cannot afford to have him play 20 minute cameos. Maybe Cam Smith can have a short break and/or may...

Re: Billy set to announce retirement

As a long-suffering Saints fan, I am absolutely stoked by this appointment. I have just been over in the Saints fan website , to see the reaction there. I was a bit concerned they would be a bit negative, but on the contrary, there is huge recognition of his talent, work ethic and positive image. Th...

Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news

Keeping Nelson for 5 more seasons is a pretty ridiculous coup for the club. Glad we've been able to keep Drinkwater. He is going to eventually snatch someone's job. Totally agree re Drinkwater. I would be looking to him grabbing an outside back spot next season. We have to improve, and if the encum...

Re: 2019 Junior Reps

Thanks Sallymay. It is great to see that Cooper Johns, Junior Ratuva, Tino F , Kayleb Milne and Kelma Tuilagi , who all show lots of promise, will be under 20 again next year. They can only get better !

Re: 2018 Grand Final. Storm v Roosters

To pick up on one of the many very good points made above by OnTheHill( you should post more often ), there is clearly a fundamental problem with the grading and points allocation system. Jake Friend drops GI on his head, pleads guilty to that, and gets off with 75 points- and not one scintilla of c...

Re: 2018 Grand Final. Storm v Roosters

Great news re Billy.

In less exciting news, Klein is one of the refs. Sutton and Cummins were excellent last week and I was hoping for a repeat. Sutton has got the GF gig, but I fear Klein will step in with some stupid penalties against us.

Re: PRELIMINARY FINAL - Storm vs Sharks

Having just written the above, I have now read the match report on NRL.com, where Luke Lewis is quoted as saying there is nothing in the Slater tackle , and that if he is rubbed out then Lewis does not know what the game is coming to.

Re: PRELIMINARY FINAL - Storm vs Sharks

Terrific performance especially in the 1st half. Billy was immense and I it was certainly not one of the typical “shoulder charges” and if there is no penalty nobody talks about it. Fair play to Shane Flanagan in his honest assessment of it. Hope is arm coming around gets him off. Lots of other exc...

Re: PRELIMINARY FINAL - Storm vs Sharks

Wonderful win. Super stuff. The key seemed to be the way they shut down the Sharks offloads in the first half. As Blazza said, not as good in the second half- Fifita et al kept offloading , BUT save for the Lewis try we held firm. Munster enormous. Billy wonderful. ( I think there was enough of a pu...

We have our best 17. They have 3 top liners missing. All good there.

Who are the refs ?

I agree 100%. We need back rowers next year. He is the sort of guy Craig likes - very hard worker.

Had a shocking injury in the GF, but came back in the second half of this season and I reckon would be hungry to do well.

Re: Queensland Cup 2018

Watchong today, Vete should be in fg In his first game for the Storm, Albert looked really good. He was then ( surprisingly to me ) dropped, and others favoured. Today he was man of the match. Surely he has gone past Sam. There probably still will not be a spot for him next week, with NAS back, but...
