I agree totally. Important for our future, the both of them. Certain both to get a good go during Origin period

... and according to the same site he played the last 55 minutes and stayed on till the end, which is great.

Re: Official Injury Updates Thread

Seven senior players are not named either for Storm, Easts or Falcons this weekend . Blair, Finucane and Earl we know about. Any news re possible return of Hughes ? It has been 7 weeks now. Papenhuyzen has been out for the last 2 or 3 weeks. Any news ? Now both Billy Walters and Scott Drinkwater out...

Re: Round 6 - Storm vs Knights

Better in the second half. Billy was superb tonight. Set up a number of tries, kicked well, drew the sin bin with a quick penalty tap, and pulled off a try- saver on Ponga. Loved seeing Brandon Smith out there. First hitup he grabbed 15 metres. The balance on the bench looks so much better when he i...

Re: Round 6 - Storm vs Knights

Geez that turned quickly. Even with a 10 point lead at halftime, there is a very flat atmosphere here at AAMI.

Re: Round 6 - Storm vs Knights

C Smith will ( attempt to ) kick the goals. He is on the field practising now. Not easy in the windy conditions. They will be putting up plenty of bombs .

Re: Round 4 - Sharks vs Storm

I'm staggered with what I watched tonight. AFL will always be my number 1 game. But last season I've never been so bored with an AFL season. I started watching heaps more NRL. In previous seasons I've only just watched Storm games but I found myself watching heaps of neural games. And loving it! Wh...

Re: Round 4 - Sharks vs Storm

Yep - add me to the list of those surprised by the omission of Brandon Smith. He has lit it up every time he has pulled on the Storm jersey. Aggressive out of dummy half. Super in defence ( thanks for coming , Coen Hess). Love Kenny, love Hoffy, love Craig , love everybody.. am just surprised, that ...

Re: Rd 2 vs Wests Tigers

Ah the donut van. My kids were born in 90, 93 and 95, so the first stop once we arrived ( having parked in that car park right next to the eastern entrance ) was the donut van ( or sometimes the jumping castle then the donut van ). Storm Man being an absolute hoon on his motor bike on the Aths track...

I had to get through Slade Griffin playing 5 minutes a game for 3 months and I can't get Brandon Smith named in round 1? The football gods know how to wreck me.

100% with you on this, Blazza. Very disappointing that Brandon is not there.

Re: Team of 20 Years

I am very happy with this team. I agree with TC re GI v Hill. Scotty was a great player , but unluckily missed the 99 flag and could make frustrating errors from time to time .GI had a huge impact and won a Churchill. Matt Geyer rightly ahead of Hill for Reserve back. Micky Crocker's fabulous impact...

Re: Cam / Storm vs JT / Cowboys Testimonial

It was interesting to watch the different tactics of the two teams in terms of pre-season preparation. The Cowboys seemed to want to get minutes into their premier squad because many of their first choice players (at least I think they are, I am new to rugby league but I recognised the names from l...

Still no Sam Kasiano. He had an injury pre-Christmas , and again for the last few weeks. He might lose that new ripping physique ! I hope he will be ok for round 1.

Re: World Club Challenge

Thought everybody played really well tonight. Obviously the standout was Croft. Thought Munster was great when he went to fullback, he needs to be fullback when Slater retires, I don’t care what anyone says, he is a better fullback then 5/8. NAS looked great. Good to see Welch back and geez our win...
