Re: Round 19 - Warriors vs Storm

I can absolutely see Hughes coming in at halfback. Bellamy does this so regularly. From memory, just last week Stimson was named in the centres while Blair was on the extended bench. Honestly think he gets a kick out of making changes to the named 17. I don't see Brandon dropping out for Finucane. ...

Re: 2018 Junior Development

Thanks ALX. Do you know if Haele Finau is a brother of Sale Finau , who plays in the 20s?

Re: Queensland Cup 2018

Actually 14 Storm players were in QCup yesterday. Kelma Tuilagi came up from the 20s to play for Easts. Good to see.

I thought it was a reference to Nancy Sinatra, whose mum ( also called Nancy, I think - Frank's first wife )
just passed away!

Re: Queensland Cup 2018

Both teams won today - Easts 44-10and Falcons 18-6. 13 Storm players played, including all 4 who played in the under 20 game on Wednesday ( Ryan P, Louis G, Harry G and Tino F). Tries to Olam, Earl and a double to Seve. Judging by the interchanges on the QRL site, all the boys got through ok. The un...

Re: Round 18 - Sea Eagles vs Storm

Dragons just lost again, so we are second. It is tight at the top, but second - and a home final - would be gold.

Re: Round 18 - Sea Eagles vs Storm

Well dome for Youngie His last game before he goes away on his mission. I love you Youngie Thank you O0 Well, said. Went out with a good performance, and finished with the ball in his hands , albeit that he then punted it into the ocean ! I am very pleased with the effort and of course the result. ...

Re: Rep round

Great game tonight. First half was eerily similar to game 2. QLD start on fire, get a disallowed try, go out to a decent lead, nsw hit back and take the lead. Thankfully this game had a happier ending tho. Slater was sensational. Will Chambers was outstanding. Munster was strong (hopefully his inju...

That is a great worry. Jesse back early is excellent , but Dale is now 6 weeks or so into a 4 week injury layoff.

Re: Smith/Slater/Cronk Story

Those allegations about Cameron's failure to contact McKinnon are false and taint the rest of the article. Nasty insinuations about Cameron's character - actionable in defamation ( not that Smith would go there ) ? Leading an article with a shouting match between wife and husband- I have no idea wha...

Re: Queensland Cup 2018

According to QRL website, Easts won today, Falcons lost. Both Seve ( centre ) and Eisenhuth ( second row ) played full games , as did Earl( centre). Scott Drinkwater apparently played a blinder for East , scoring two tries and setting up the other two. We have to hang onto this lad.

Re: Round 18 - Sea Eagles vs Storm

I was quite impressed with Vete. Thought he provided an immediate impact. Will be interesting to see how he fits in to the picture when we start to get forwards back. Yea, and he offers something a little different to any other forward in the team. Kinda hoping he forces Bellamy's hand and becomes ...

If all are fit, Slater at 1, Munster 6 , Hughes 7 would be my preference .

Re: Round 17 v Dragons

Good point, TC. In any event, there is room for both of them in the team. However for me, Billy at 1, Jahrome at 7. Plenty of time for Jahrome to wear the 1 once Billy finishes.
