Re: Storm War Chest

I just don't think buying big name players works. Remember these big money signings? Sandow to Parra Blair to Tigers Barba to Broncos Foran to Parra Luke and RTS to Warriors Hayne to Titans I think those teams became worse off after the signings. The exception to the rule would be the Roosters who w...

Re: Storm War Chest

We're really spoiled with talent and depth at the moment. As an example: we can't find a spot for Jarhome Hughes unless it's through injury. Same with the likes of Cheese & Stimson who would make it onto the starting sides of most other teams. If we can't give these guys opportunities in first g...

Re: Storm War Chest

I'd be fine with spending some of it on Felise. We may need the rest of our "war chest" to resign players coming off contract or upgrading younger players in our feeder system as they come through the ranks. I really like the way our team is balanced at the moment and wouldn't really want ...

Re: Vossy loves us

Doesn't the club do videos on their website and social media? I'm not really on social media so wouldn't know but I vaguely recall that they post interviews with players and similar tidbits on their website.

Re: Storm vs Warriors trial match

I was very impressed with Drinkwater and Billy Walters. Having never seen them play before it was good to get a look at what some others on this forum have been raving about. Harry Grant also looked like a very handy backup backup rake. I must say that I wasn't as impressed with Tui Kamikamika as I ...

Re: Team of 20 Years

Will they be naming 2 wing and 2 centres? Or will it be more like the Daly M team where there's only 1 of each?

Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news

$500k for Scott seems about right given that Will Chambers is on about $750k and he's probably the best centre running around at the moment

Re: Munster told to Pull His Head In!

GI has storm ink but plays in cardinal and myrtle these days. I don't think tatts means anything as far as loyalty goes these days.

Speedy ball-playing halves running at/around NAS might also seem a bit unfair!

Re: Round 1 predicted line ups

I'm really loving the depth we have this season. I'm almost looking forward to the inevitable injury among the starters to see who steps up.

Re: Round 1 predicted line ups

There were the same lost weight reports last season and before too long he was fat and lazy again. I remember last season it was him losing weight for his wedding and then he must have honeymooned throughout the regular season because he definitely put it back on and then some by finals time. I hop...

I'm pretty sure he started while Tohu was injured this year and did everything that was asked of him.

Re: Round 1 predicted line ups

I would think it would be a little bit different to how we have done things in the past (i.e. Hinchcliffe). I would think Brandon spends some time at DH - quick, strong legs taking darting runs. Cam spends some time at first/second receiver. Organisation, support to two young halves, take the press...
