Re: Munster told to Pull His Head In!

I can see an interesting time ahead when Munster and Ponga battle it out for the QLD fullback jumper. Both very exciting young talents.

Re: Munster told to Pull His Head In!

He hasn't done anything to lose the Maroons 6 jersey as far as I can tell. His short kicking game is improving and his overall ball playing is on the up as well. He's still as damaging a ball runner as anyone else in the league and his ability to play to both structures and heads up is a quality tha...

Re: Round 8 - Storm vs Warriors - ANZAC DAY

I'm going but not expecting the normal 'home' atmosphere as warriors fans always show up in numbers for this game. Can't fault their passion.

Re: Round 8 - Storm vs Warriors - ANZAC DAY

Thought Glasby did quite well at 13 last week. Hope he manages a repeat performance.

If it gets to golden point please don't pass to Billy: worst 'attempt at field goal' ever! :P

Re: Round 7 - Broncos vs Storm

I’m 99% sure Craig refused to rule out the Broncos job purely as standard procedure during his contract negotiations with the Storm. BUT - a part of me really hopes that he refused to rule it out just to rile Bennett and put him in two minds  Doesn’t seem in Craig’s nature. But I still like to...

Re: Major RL Events in Melbourne

I'm Victorian, why should I care about NSW vs Qld? Additionally, I pay my membership to the Storm to see the best 17 run out each week and Origin ruins that for 2 months every year. I hate it to my core. Sorry. I get what you're saying but I also think that playing Origin gives our players some val...

Re: Round 6 - Storm vs Knights

It's so important for the whole team to slide - and talk. I suspect that maybe Suli may rely on Will a bit more than we realise to give him direction on what action to take. If the centre jams in on the ball carrier then the winger's job is to stop an offload or quick pass (they can't make a defens...

Re: Round 6 - Storm vs Knights

Agree Bullucked. By the time they've created an overlap, there isn't a whole lot Suli can do. I think what makes it a bit hard to realise though is at the other end JAC is doing a phenomenal job jamming up and in at the right time and showing them the sideline at others: but this just means JAC is d...

Re: Major RL Events in Melbourne

I'm in the same boat. No interest at all in watching the "All Stars" (ie. whatever fringe first-grader gets leave from his club to participate) but the Indigenous vs Maori (maybe even Pacific All Stars?) would be something I might actually go to.

Re: Round 6 - Storm vs Knights

He may well have left too much room because he was overconfident in his own pace and ability to push Sio out wide to the sideline. It wasn't an amazing defensive decision but once they created the overlap on his inside they were odds on to score anyway and it would have taken a phenomenal effort on ...

Re: Round 6 - Storm vs Knights

Maybe there's a reason for it but I just cannot understand why any winger would stand so far inside his opposite number. Anyone have an explanation? People hating on Suli's defence need to acknowledge the great work the Knights did in creating the overlap with Ponga and Fitzgibbons demanding extra ...

Re: Major RL Events in Melbourne

I liked the Indigenous All Stars vs Maori All Stars they had as an opener to one of the previous World Cups. Wouldn't mind watching that. At least they would be playing for pride in their jersey unlike the NRL All Stars who wouldn't care about the game at all.
