Re: Cooper Cronk confirms he will play on with a Sydney club in season 2018

You think Smith plays side-to-side and not direct? What have you been watching for 16-odd years?

Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news

Disagree, we are fine with current props. On top of Bromwich, Glasby, NAS, Kasiano, Welch, Kamikamika, Leuluai we also have; Lachlan Timm, Charlie Galo The simple fact is that there are only so many spots. Playing a quality NRL forward in the Q Cup "just in case" is not astute cap manageme...

Re: Storm Players at the World Cup

To be fair, he has always looked 32...

Pretty sure he is an immortal. Not just a Rugby League one but an actual immortal who doesn’t age. In 100 years time there will be a brilliant AFL player who redefines the game and wins 6 Brownlows, who looks eerily similar to Cameron Smith.

Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news

We also seem generally (these days) prudent with our cap. Don't spend it for the sake of spending it.

Some players are going to have breakout years and it is always good to have a little bit of cap space to accommodate upgrades/front loading extensions, mid-season transfers, etc.

I hope we retain the gold numbers on the jersey this year.

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

Huh... Away jersey is very underwhelming IMO. Should have kept the chevron like this year but with the new style template from the home jersey. This looks quite plain. Last years away jersey was almost a pre-cursor to this years home jersey. Should have slightly revamped it but left it most intact. ...

Just a great looking jersey. Love the chevron and the yellow collar. The new logo looks good on fabric as well.

Sharp ;D

Re: Cooper Cronk confirms he will play on with a Sydney club in season 2018

I will forever grateful for what he did for us, but I won't ever view him in the same light as Cam or Billy. With the greatest respect to Cooper, even if he played out his career with the Storm, would he have been remembered in the same light as Smith/Slater? Surely not... And I say that with no so...

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

Really like both, prefer the non coloured version. Perhaps if just the lightning bolt was gold...?

I wasn't keen on seeing a logo change but I think they have done a good job. Looks sharp and contemporary.

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

Yeah, no club will go back to a proper collar full time (just another thing for tacklers to grab) but they may colour the hemline around the neck at some point.
